Our Team

Basil Mashabane

Basil is an admitted Attorney with post-qualification experience of 15 years as a Corporate Commercial lawyer both in Litigation and general Commercial law with 8 of those years spent as Legal Counsel and Deputy Executive Director of the Takeover Regulation Panel (Panel), a regulator of Takeovers and Mergers in terms of the Companies Act, 2008. Basil is a specialist Takeover law lawyer with extensive knowledge and experience in Takeovers undertaken in terms of the Companies Act and this in addition to the extensive experience he acquired in Commercial and Insurance law litigation having been part of one of the major law firms in South Africa as a Senior Associate. Basil is a consummate professional with a passion for continuous learning and development and he is always on the look-out for opportunities to impart his knowledge and experience to up-and-coming legal professionals as seen through his involvement as an external examiner for UNISA on its LLM Corporate Law Degree Programme.

Yogie Maharaj CC&A


Yogie is a Conveyancing Secretary with 24 years of conveyancing experience. Yogie specializes in transfers. She has been with CCA for 11 years. In her professional capacity, Yogie enjoys interacting with people from different walks of life and enjoys the collaborative working environment within CCA. She is pleased that she is able to offer value to the firm, her agents and clients. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking and trying out different cuisines, travelling, keeping active by exercising and tenpin bowling.

Hazel Sinala CC&A

Hazel Sinala

Hazel has worked at CCA for 7 years, 3 of those years have been spent as a Conveyancing Assistant to Jana, Zenda and Debbie. Hazel enjoys her job as she can see clear room for growth in her role. Hazel is a bubbly individual and as such, enjoys connecting and bonding with her work colleagues. In her role at CCA, she has learnt to communicate with people, always putting on a bright smile when talking to clients. Hazel’s hobbies are dancing, cooking, reading, watching tv and playing video games.

Mpho Mashabane CC&A

Mpho Mashabane

Mpho completed her LLB through UNISA in 2021 and her Practical Legal Training in 2022. She joined CCA in 2022 as a Candidate Attorney in the Conveyancing department supporting the Conveyancer with bond registrations, bond cancellations and property transfers. Currently, she is employed as a Deceased Estate Administrator in the Deceased Estate Department and supports the Litigation Department with general litigation matters. She has a strong passion for property law, deceased estates and conveyancing and her goal is to become an Admitted Attorney and Conveyancer of the High Court. During her spare time, she enjoys running, reading, travelling and spending time with her family.

Carol Coetzee CC&A

Carol Coetzee

Carol is an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa and is an admitted practising Conveyancer with 23 years of extensive experience in property law. Carol specialises in corporate property law and property developments, both residential and commercial. She manages a highly successful property law / conveyancing practice and provides quality service to clients. Carol maintains high quality service by adapting to the challenging needs of her clients, by recognizing that her success depends on flexibility and innovation in order to meet her client’s needs. Carol loves spending time with her two kids and husband and in her spare time makes a concerted effort to give back to the community and is passionate about making a positive impact in the world through her community service endeavours.

Debbie Jacobs CC&A

Debbie Jacobs

Debbie is a skilled Bookkeeper with 24 years of experience in legal bookkeeping. She has served in her role at CCA for nearly three years and enjoys being in control of her responsibilities. In her own words: “I have learnt to accept those things I cannot change.”

Tarryn Schuman CC&A

Tarryn Schuman

Tarryn is a practicing Attorney and Conveyancer with a passion for property law. She holds an LLB Degree from the University of the Western Cape and has dedicated her career to the field of conveyancing. Tarryn is exceptionally detail orientated and ensures that each aspect in a transaction is scrutinized with care. With her ability to navigate property transactions, she ensures that her clients’ interests are protected and ensures that she provides each client with the highest level of service and support. Tarryn is known for her friendly and approachable demeanor. Outside of work, Tarryn enjoys spending quality time with her husband and friends. She enjoys cooking and trying out various recipes. She also enjoys hiking, taking the time to appreciate the beauty of nature and the opportunity to unwind. 

William Molokomme CC&A

William Molokomme

William has performed his duties as a Messenger at CCA for 19 years. He enjoys interacting with our clients and is an integral member of our team. In his spare time, Wiliam enjoys working on cars and playing soccer.

Virginia Moeti CC&A

Virginia Moeti

Virginia is an Office Assistant at CCA and has worked here for two years. Virginia is a friendly and caring individual and enjoys dancing, listening to music and watching movies.

Jana-Roniel Smit CC&A

Jana-Roniel Smit

Jana has 30 years’ experience in Commercial and Office Administration, of which she has spent 26 years as a Paralegal and Conveyancing Secretary at various law firms. Jana has worked at CCA since its inception and specialises in bond registrations, bond cancellations, notarial bonds and transfers. Jana currently executes with precision her duties as a Senior Conveyancing Assistant / Legal Secretary and Personal Assistant at CCA.   

In her spare time, Jana enjoys travelling, cake decorating, sugar art and various other art projects to keep herself busy.

Zenda Blignaut CC&A


Zenda has 36 years’ experience as a Conveyancing Secretary. Zenda specializes in bond registrations and cancellations. She has worked at CCA for a year and a half and brings with her a wealth of experience and knowledge in her field and enjoys working collaboratively with her colleagues. Zenda prioritizes Church life, family and loves to be in nature.

Emma Gronum CC&A

Emma Gronum

Emma, being the newest addition to the CCA Team, is a Candidate Attorney and our FICA Compliance Officer. Emma obtained a BCom Law and LLB Degree at the University of Pretoria. She previously interned in Wills and Estates before moving to conveyancing. In her own words “I love the atmosphere at CCA, I know that I can trust this firm to provide me with the guidance to become the best attorney I can be.”

Emma is a homebody who enjoys spending time with her fiancé watching movies or playing video games.

Ethel Moeti CC&A

Ethel Moeti

Ethel is the Receptionist at CCA and with a warm and bright smile, welcomes each person that walks through the door at our office. In addition to her role as receptionist she acts as the securities department for our office, ensuring that deeds are sent to the respective banks efficiently and timeously and with speed and accuracy opens our transfer files. Ethel has 10 years of experience as a receptionist and has served the firm diligently for 16 years. Even though her job is challenging, Ethel enjoys her job and fulfils her role to the best of her capabilities. She enjoys singing, reading books, listening to music and watching sports.
